Neuromodulators (”Botox”)

Botox, Dysport & Xeomin are all FDA-approved neuromodulators comprised of botulinum. These treatments help soften and smooth fine lines and wrinkles on your face. Neuromodulators minimize muscle contraction. This treatment will restore the smooth look of your complexion. Over time, these muscles “unlearn” those movements that created the lines. This is often is why people start early with these treatments.

FAQ’S

Will I be frozen and have no expression?

Absolutely not! A skilled injector uses neuromodulators to relax the muscles and smooth lines while still allowing your face to show expression and smile. (Unless you WANT frozen!)

How long will the results last?

The length of your results is dependent on your dose amount, technique and metabolism. Most results will last approximately 90 days or 3 months.

How long will it take to see results?

Effects may be seen in as little as 3 Days! However, full effect will be in place in 14 days.

What are the side effects?

There is a risk of bruising, although rare. Neuromodulators have been used in medical procedures since 1989. FDA approved it’s cosmetic use in 2002 and since then there have been no systemic adverse side effects seen with the small amounts we use.

 Are “botox” injections painful?

The needles used are very small therefore it is a slight pinch feeling. It is also a quick injection that does not go deep (it doesn’t need to for it to do its magic!)

What should I avoid following treatment?

There is no downtime, therefore you can return to normal activities immediately. We do ask that you avoid hot showers, facial massages, or laying down for 4 - 6 hours. These activities can decrease the effectiveness immediately post-injection.
